I really wanted to get into Single Speed CX races, but I didn’t want the Crux SS. It’s such a plain color. I fell in love with the Crockett 7, which originally came with a full Force CX1 groupset, and sold all the shifting stuff. Originally had a Surly Singleator and Bontrager TLR wheels with a single speed cog and salvaged spacers, but the chain would skip when putting lots of torque due to the reduced chain wrap. So I built a wheelset with an eccentric rear hub and here we are!

My gearing (40×18) is definitely too high for the heavy mud races, but perfect for drier stuff. I hope to maybe get a smaller chainring some day.
